Default Well Howdy!

Howdy Y'all!

My name is Andrew, I don't have an S2000 (yet). I'm a freshman business (supply chain management) major at Texas A&M University. As I said, I don't own an S2K yet, but I'm in the process of selling my 2006 Mustang GT in order to afford one. If anyone knows anyone in the College Station or Houston, TX area selling their S2K please let me know!!

Since I dont have one yet I'll give yall a nice mental image of what I want.

My dream S2000
AP2, 2004 or 2005 (still had cable throttles which leads me to assume better throttle response) Considering AP1 (oversteer scares me haha)
Exterior Color (in order of desire): GPW, Sebring Silver,Moonrock, New Formula Red, Laguna Blue
Interior Color: Black&Red

Looking forward to posting my car soon!!!

As we say in Aggieland - Thanks, and Gig 'Em!

Also, here's a link to my Mustang if anybody knows anyone who's interested!

Check in at the Central and Houston forums, they may be able to help find you a S2000.

Welcome

What made you want an S? There will be a big difference in power between the two cars but the S makes up for it in other ways

I'm glad you asked! S2000's have always been cool to me but the real reason is a little deeper...

So I’ve been reading this book called The Last Open Road. I’m still going through it, but it’s all about cars, and driving. The story line follows a young guy in the 1940’s named Buddy who has a passion for automobiles. The book really gets back to the basics of loving cars for the pure, reason of driving, and pushing the limits of what is possible in a car.

In conjunction with that, back last summer while on a father-son road trip my dad let me drive his MG, and I immediately fell in love with the feel of driving a open-top purpose-built car that was made for driving.

Now, before I continue I will have to admit that our (his) MG is a not what you might call stock It a 76 MGB that has had a chrome bumper conversion done...and we dropped in a Ford Racing crate 302, custom fabricated independent rear suspension from a Nissan 240SX, Chevy break hubs, Toyota clutch slave, Subaru brake master, and a whole huge list of of other custom odds and ends. The car freaking flies

Obviously I can’t afford to do what my dad has done to his MG, but I'm sure as you all know there’s a car made by Honda that was built entirely as a driver’s car

From my research I can tell that it was literally designed to encompass everything that motoring was all about. Pure, simple, mechanical fun for the love of driving. The S2K is not about showing off, or being the loudest thing on the street (where as my Mustang is). It’s about making the driver love the car, and remembering what motoring is all about. I had an opportunity to drive one this weekend and absolutely fell in love with it, and that's when I decided that I wanted to get an S2000.
