What are your thoughts on mileage?
Hi guys. I posted a week or so ago about an '06 Silverstone/Red CPO with 30k miles. That was already a little higher than I was hoping for but I was willing to make an exception for the color combo. I ended up offering $19,900 they want $21,700, so that's that.
Now another '06 Silverstone/Red CPO has popped up much closer to where I live but it has 35k miles for around the same price. I realize its a Honda so reliability probably won't be an issue but I can't help but stop thinking of it as a low mileage car at that point, which isn't ideal. I want my perception to be that of a pristine and lightly used car. I took an average of all '06's within 300 miles on Autotrader and the average mileage is ~20k so now we're talking a variance of 15k miles.
FYI It's at Scott Honda in West Chester PA. Is this a former ride of anyone here?

I guess this would make more sense if I told you I've never had a car with >30k miles since 2001 and since 2001 I've owned the following:
2002 RSX,
2003 RSX Type-S,
2005 Accord EX 5MT,
2006 Civic Si,
2007 Accord EX-L V6 6MT.
My hope is that I love the S2K enough (I think I will) to cure my new car disease and hang onto it for fun, hobby, meets, etc. But if I put 7.5k miles/yr on this car, I've got 50k on the "new to me" car in two years. Make sense to anyone or am I worrying about nothing?

Post up in the Delaware Valley (DelVal) Forum...I think one of the s2k owners in that group works at the dealership.
I was in your boat of going through cars each year....I stopped at 04 Accord v6 6mt, and the S2k. I'll never sell either (at least for now)
Welcome to the boards, we (Del Val) just had an incredible group ride in the Poconos Sunday, approximately 35 S2k's showed..

Yeah I think I'm not going to pursue this one.
Nice to hear the Del. Val. guys are out there doing meets and group drives. I'm originally from Reading but moved to the Jersey shore north of I195, so I'll be cruising and meeting with NY Metro when I finally get my S2000.
