this car is so alive except for first gear. i can let it rev and rev and rev but nothing ever happens, but shift to 2nd and hold on!

what's the secret for 0-60?

 

That's why 0 - 60 is in the late 5-sec range. 1st gear takes a while to pick up speed.

 

when i first got my car i would be pulling out in traffic and be sh1tting myself waiting for the car to get into the vtec powerband. i was astonished that it was so slow. i had to remedy it immediately so i had 4.77s in the first month or so of ownership...

 

yeah, 0-23 in my stock ap1 sucks , after that whole different car

I didn't think 1st gear was so bad... After driving a caymann extensively, i've finally realized that the s2k has to torque.

I can get more pull in the cayman in 4th gear at 2k rpms than in 3rd gear in the s2k at 3500

yeah kinda slow but in my ap2 i feel it pick up at the end of 1st when im redline it and 2nd pulls me a lot!! gotta love v-tec

 

6000K then drop the clutch.





Assuming you don't care about the cost of a clutch or Diff........

 

must be an AP1 problem, lol

even in the AP1s I test drove though I never thought 1st gear was "slow"

VTEC in 1st gear is pretty damn exhilarating if you ask me
