Default Would you buy this car? or should I be cautious?

Ok so I am considering setting my budget a bit higher. There is a blue 07 with 1500 miles on it, car is perfect. I did an autocheck and it was registered in nevada and then sold at an auto auction with only 1488 miles. Is this strange? why would it be at auction so soon. The dealers price is 27900 Thanks

I'd recommend having any car you're looking to buy inspected. Autocheck is handy but it won't tell you everything.

A little odd but there are many circumstances that could explain it, someone bought it but didn't like it or lost their job or found something they liked better. I'd reach out to whatever chapter is local to you, get the name of a s2ki trusted honda tech and have them check it out for you. Peace of mind = money well spent. BTW, price seems a little high.

That sounds pretty good. You can get a brand new one for 29 before taxes and registration, so just be aware of that when you begin your gladiator price battle.

A lot of people buy S2000's without realizing how small and raw of a car they are. There's a lot of them that come up for sale after 1000 miles or so. Someone starts to get a midlife crisis, buys the S, then realizes they miss their big, soft, tank of an old person car.

yeah, brand new would be nice, but even at 29 before taxes I'm still looking at 31.5 or so after all that. So if i can get this 07 with 1500 miles for 26 OTD that would be great for me. The dealers here make it seem like they cant do it.

Oops I didn't see the "out the door" part. 26 OTD, consider yourself lucky if you can pull that off. I was thinking, 26 "before the door." 27-28 OTD seems more plausible, with 27 being the sweet spot.
