Default Anyone running an AP1 flywheel in their AP2?

Well I'm going to need to change the clutch out sometime in the near future and have considered a few options. Is there anyone in the Jacksonville area running an AP1 flywheel in their AP2? I'd really like to get some input on the swap from those running it first hand.

Maybe, possibly even get a chance to do a few rev matches to see if it's something I'd want in mine. It would be GREATLY appreciated.

Also, any recommendations on where to get the clutch swapped out? I'd really like to do it myself since I'm particular about who touches my car. Although the S is my only vehicle at the moment and never having experience with a clutch replacement, it may be tough to finish it in a timely manner considering there's always something that goes wrong lol.

Thanks for any help

i don't know anyone locally that is running one but if you don't want to go the route of a lightweight flywheel than this is the next best thing- i think it shaves 7-8 pounds. if I can make a recommendation pick up all six of the front driveshaft bolts from honda before hand, they have a tendency to strip / stretch during removal.

Thanks for the tip Josh.

The only reason why I'm concerned with the ap1 flywheel is if it will fall out of vtec in between shifts since it's so much lighter.

how long does it take you to shift lol

i haven't heard of any issues like that even with lightweight flywheels so an ap1 should be fine. the ap2 flywheel was designed heavier to make city driving a little easier for those that used the car during a midlife crisis- same reason why they made the ap2 suspension weak and sloppy compared to the ap1's.
