Aug. 28th - 10 runs for $30. Open class auto x.
The course was like launch immediate 3 or 4 s curves 135 degree hairpin turn into final straight. I believe Jim was in 4th gear crossing finish line. They are having the same event again on Sept 18th. I didn't run, but I will next time. I know Jim and Taylor had a blast. Hopefully there will be a better turnout next time. It was cool to meet at the gas station and drive down together. I will 100% be going next time unless my car explodes prior to the event.

I had a blast. here was the layout. I did hit 4th gear once or twice. Most of the runs I bounced the limiter in 3rd as I crossed the finish. around 78-80 mph. I need more grip for tracks like this. not enough rear grip. Maybe wider tires and an aggressive alignment will definitely help. Taylor did real well and improved with each pass. I'm expecting he will continue that trend next time.
It's a shame they don't allow passengers at this event. There were some fast drivers out there. I would have liked to get some pointers as a passenger.
Thanks

Hey Jim, are you planning on going to the next one??? Tell these people who didn't go how much fun it was. You were only 3 or 4 seconds slower than the corvettes.
Might go to the next one. It's on the 18th I think. I have a dinner date planned for that night so if I go I would have to leave the event early. Also I'm planning on having a new clutch installed. That might put a damper on things.
Oh yeah you guys did great! I meant 3 or 4 seconds slower than the fastest vettes. They did let their women drive the vettes too
Good luck with the clutch. Hopefully you will be ready in time since you will have more competition.

Yeah, they really have it setup for vettes with that long straight at the end, that's where they will make up lost time.
They used to have much more turns at that venue but it looks like they kinda made it somewhat bland. The S curves are pretty fun though! I really enjoy when they reverse the picture you posted and make it a straight in the beginning, you hit about 75 or so and then brake into that turn, it is much more interesting lol.
So it's confirmed it's going to be the same exact layout as this one again?
