Specifically, I am looking to retune my EMS for the lower altitude (and also go up on boost), as well as a place that does corner balancing and alignment. I would appreciate any heads up on any recommendations and potential meets. Thank you!

Welcome to jax. I can answer all the questions. Come to coffee tomorrow morning. 8am. If not I’ll respond this week.

Welcome! How much power are you making? Are you going to try to make it out to road Atlanta or roebling road?

There are a bunch of tracks within 4 hours. We are talking about going to Sebring in dec and maybe the firm in a few months.

Thanks! I competed in NASA Utah TT4 in 2017, so I bled a lot of boost in the higher RPMs using a wastegate so I made an average whp of 245 (267 peak) to get me to the right power to weight ratio. This was of course using the regular 5" pulley. I have a 4.2" and 3.6" pulley with belt in my garage, so I'm planning to shoot to fit into TT3 using the current rules with an average whp of 285 (probably won't compete this year, but just for reference sake to other TT3 cars). The average whp calculation is much stricter for FI now, that will probably mean using a bigger pulley and bleeding even more boost up top so I have a flat whp band from 7000-9000 rpm. I first need to upgrade my clutch (still on factory clutch with almost 90K miles). I've got one ordered from SOS thanks to Jim's recommendation. I'll be calling up Bakerbuilt Garage this week for that. Then once the clutch is broken in, swap the pulley and go for a retune.

When is Road Atlanta and Roebling? I'd love to have some events to shoot for. Who are the organizers of those track days?

Thanks!

Awesome. I imagine it's capable of way more whp if you wanted?

I haven't looked at schedules but in the past I have run HPDE with NASA SE at both of those tracks. I haven't been on a track for about 3-4 years though. I'm probably pretty rusty.

The 3.6" pulley should be good for 350+ whp if run at full boost, so I'll have to figure out whether or not to run the 4.2" pulley or 3.6" pulley to get me to hit 285 whp at 7000 RPM, then bleed boost after that using the wastegate to keep it at 285 whp all thew way till 9000 RPM. The lower boost at higher RPMs should also keep it nice and gentle for the engine.

I competed in the S2K Challenge in California until 2011, did a couple track days in 2012, then stopped completely until end of 2016 where I did a couple track days, got the car sorted out during the winter break, then took the TT4 championship in 2017. It's like riding a bicycle.

Yeah I would like to get back out there.

I'm between wanting to turbo my car and make tons of power, or set my car up for the track. I wish I had 2 s2000's so I could do one of each set up.
