Hello all,

as you all know me, I have had a stock s2k for 6 years now :/? eitherway, I purchased BC Racing suspension 12k/12k and extra Swift Springs 10k/10k. I'm going to install the suspension with the swift springs on and after I dial in the proper height I want, I want a nice corner balance. Anyone know of any local shops that do good work?

I heard from Robert (one of our previous CO's who I'm sure you know) that the closest shops that do corner balance work are in Daytona, but this was a few years ago. If you do find a good shop in Jax please let me know.

 

Thx ADO. once I have it dialed in to what I think may be right, I'll start looking. Do you think it is wise to get an alignment before or after balance?

get an alignment after or if the place offers unlimited alignments for a timeframe (such as tire kingdom), then get one before and after.

 

 

Do you know if Tire Kingdom has a policy set that requires me to have a reason for returning to have a re-alignment performed. reason for asking is tubel's asked me if the car is pulling or not tracking correctly or shuttering. if not any of the above then they would not perform an alignment. I know I could have easily lied but just wondering.

 

You should be able to get it done anytime. They might ask you something like, why are you back so soon, just tell them you think something is wrong, or it will ease your mine to have them recheck it.

 

i have had an alignment package with tire kingdom for years and have never been told i can't get an alignment. I asked one of the techs one day if i was using the alignment package incorrectly and risking being told i couldn't get an alignment. i was told that they are technically only supposed to align the car to factory specs but that he didn't care and would align it anyway, and to whatever specs i wanted...So i suppose there is a risk of being turned away but in the close to 10 years i've had their packages, i have never been refused an alignment under my tire kingdom package.

 

That is what I like to hear trackrat, the best response. For ease of mind, I am going to the Tire Kingdom off Atlantic near 9A (295). I'll have them install my new tires and get an alignment. appointment created this afternoon.
