Hey all. Team Stance of Orlando, Florida organizing and hosting a really nice event here in a couple weeks. We're coining it as "Cruisin' for a Cause". It's to benefit kids with Spina Bifida. The day will include a scenic group cruise through the back roads of Lake County, with opportunities for "spirited" driving I'm sure... that said, this is a two lane road most of the way, so absolutely no BS driving please. Exercise judgment and use your head. That's all that should have to be said about that. This same route has been taken by quite a few local clubs and organizations, so it ought to be nice!

Saturday September 27th, 2008:

The cruise will begin at Starbucks on West 50 (see directions below for the exact location since we all know there are prob. 32092 Starbucks on SR.50 lol). We're going to end up at Sylvan Lake Park in Sanford off Rt. 46. There will be a cook-out and "meet" at the park with Burgers, hot-dogs, chips, drinks the usual fare (no alchohol permitted at the park). There is plenty of room to line everyone's cars up and get a great meet going!

Of course we're all doing this to have a great time on the cruise and a solid afternoon of fun and stuffin our faces, but we are also trying to make this work as a charity event. That being said, the price to eat will be $10. ALL proceeds WILL go directly to the Spina Bifida Association to help kids with the defect go to camp. More info on that HERE. Donations will also be taken if you desire to make one. Money is being put out to reserve the patio at the park and to get the food together, so if you're going to eat please help us out with $10 at least... that's all we ask.

If you're not able to make the cruise portion, or just want to come show your car in the afternoon, feel free to meet us all at Sylvan Lake Park for the bbq! The convoy should be arriving at the park at approximately 1:00-1:30, so if you'll be joining us there be sure to call me before heading over to the park to see where we're at (number below).

Besides that, any updates or changes will be posted in this thread. Feel free to ask questions, or PM me for any other details. Tell your friends, repost on other forums if you want, and let's get as many cars out there as possible!
