I took I-10 the whole way. There were a lot of elevation changes. Hills + curves in a giant truck towing a car is not as fun as it sounds. Speed limit was 75-80 most of the way, too bad the truck couldn't do that. The brakes were sub-par, but that was expected. People love to cut off trucks when they are braking, it is really easy to see why so many people die in vehicle collisions with large trucks. San Antonio seemed very nice. We drove through it at night, so I couldn't see everything in detail.
I averaged 7.3mpg.
