I "was" wondering the same thing. I went and saw this movie this past sunday.. Good plot, Channing Tatum acting was a bit off... my .02

 

I thought they kinda f'd up GI Joe, trying to make it all futuristic was weird. It did allow them to have some cool special effects, but besides that it just kind of seemed like an 80s cop movie.

Plot: Bad guy has doomsday device, plans to destroy major cities of the world. Good guys stop bad guy. Bad guy says "it's not over."

The ninjas were awesome though, it's hard to make them futuristic so they still had their old school awesomeness. Just my .02

 

I agree on the futuristic idea. I thought it was way out there.
