I have a pair of 255/40 17's that are not quite down to the wear bars. (3/32 maybe?) The shoulders are worn down from autocrossing but, if I had not wanted new tires for state, I would have left them on.

I am also in SW Florida, so that might be a problem, but you can have them for nothing.

I also have a pair of 275/40-17's but they brobably won't fit S2k stock wheels.

im actually going thru the same thing right now and have decided on the Kumho MX's - they came out to be like Total: $465.00 - ive found that with a lot of tire makers the 255 is cheaper than the 245, so im staying with the 255, you may want to look into that aswell.

the 465 was for 225/45/17 and 255/40/17
