Default JAX Mod Day 2008!

[Negcamber editing starts here]

We have a date and location! Tim (timt976) has offered to host. It must be a new house since it's not even on the map yet. So we can pop his garage's cherry. Besides...what's a garage or drive way without some oil stains, right?

Where:
Tim's house
6463 Crimson Leaf Ln
Jacksonville, FL 32244

This is off of Skyler Jean Dr (MAP)

When: Sunday 9/7 starting at 10am (I'll bring Panera bagels & coffee if someone brings donuts...mmm...donuts)

Work will be done first come first serve...tie breakers resolved by the list below.

[Negcamber editing ends here]

We're setting up a mod day -- Josh is going to lend a hand with the hard stuff, and we can all do the rest. Josh won't be available for at least a couple weeks, but I figure if we start this now, everyone will have time to plan. I'm buying a couple cases of beer (feel free to suggest what you want, I'll probably get two different beers). So far, here's what we have:

Me (zbrewha863)
yarbrough
ZeroPsi
jesusphish
MIAMI4QUAD
SBlueS2k
DocB04
s2kyo
skipdodoubleq
flipnrr
s2kmayhem
timt976
JustinsanE
RedS13

Josh and I each have low-profile jacks and two jack stands apiece, so we can work on at least two cars at once.

I'm also installing a set of Mugen cooling mods and Samco radiator hoses, but I can do that stuff myself (esp. since I'm going to drain the coolant for the IMG install).

Feel free to add your name to the list!

You can take me off the list of IMG install. I got tired of it in my trunk and sold it this past weekend.

I don't touch nitrous, it scares me and I hate it.

Are you going w/ wet, dry, or direct port? A dry shot is probably one of the most simple things to install, a wet kit is a little more complicated (but you can do it yourself if you have the right supplies and experience), and for a direct port setup you should get a pro to do it.

Its a direct port wet, but its a EFI so it should just fit in with the injectors right?! i just want to get it hooked up before i go get it tuned. so i save a little bit before i let stage 6 get there hands on it!

Without knowing the specifics of your kit, it's hard to tell, but I have seen direct port kits that include injectors where the nitrous lines plug into special injectors. Hooking up the hoses beforehand seems like a good idea, just don't turn it on before it's tuned ... especially since you're using what I assume is a big shot of nitrous (since it's a direct port kit)
