So the next Dinner & a Movie was going to be Star Trek...but I got some negative comments this weekend about that choice.

So before I post it up...who'd be willing to let their inner geek run free on May 9?

What time? I might be working on the 9th at my other job. . .

 

My work schedule is stupidly fluid so committing to outings is kinda hard but provided theres no conflicts I'd be down for the geekdom

So sounds like maybe 4 would be interested.

With a small group, I was thinking of hitting the IMAX at World Golf Village. We can grab some food at CaddyShack around 7pm and then walk over to the movie. The last showing for 5/9 is 9:20pm.

If that time doesn't work well...then we can hit a conventional theater. Maybe Flemming Island Mellow Mushroom and then walk over to the new theater right behind the restaurant. No showtimes are up yet...but I would imagine they will have a 10pm-ish showing.

 

I'll be out of town and won't be able to make it on 5/9 but I have been to the Fleming Island theater a few times and really like it. The projectors are DLP and look really good. On top of that I have yet to see a packed theater so seats are not that hard to come by.

 

I'm totally interested.

 

you know robert, star trek was my dad's fave and i used to watch all of them with him growing up. so im down. my girl said no though.
