QUALIFIED Soft top replacement
Can anyone recommend a shop that KNOWS what they are doing when replacing a S2000 soft top in Jacksonville? I just had my car repainted and the shop took apart the top and broke the rear tray and left at least 2 clips just rolling around on the back tray. The rear of the top isn't fitting properly and I am concerned on what other hidden damage may exist. I refused acceptance so they are going to "fix" these issues but when I get it back I want the top replaced and now I want to know what damage exists. I want someone who knows this car, not someone wanting to learn.

I have not used them, but LTH has done many if you are looking for an experienced “shop.” Not local, but probably worth the drive for someone in your position who wants this done right.

LHT Performance for top replacement
LHT Performance in Pinellas Park Fl. did an excellent job replacing the top on my 2004 S2K this week. They also replaced some parts that had been broken by another shop when I had the car repainted.
John Wilson, the owner is very knowledgable on how the S2K works and his shop may do more tops than anyone else in the country using OEM tops. The factory top fits so much better than the after market top I had put on about 8 years ago and they made sure to put in the elastic straps that collapse the bars properly so that the top folds correctly and doesn't damage the roll bar covers or interfere with the top console fully opening. They also cleaned up the glue the previous shop had left on the front edge of the roof bar where the fabric is attached.
The S2k is not a car that regular top companies work on so they do not know what is really needed since all parts are not included in a kit primarily the elastic straps (which were on the car from the factory but are NOT included in the OEM kit).
CenturionS2K definitely steered me in the right direction. Thank you for the suggestion.
