Default Wake The Dragon 9 2011 Who is in?

Who locally is interested in attending the Dragon this year. I went last year and had a great time. Met up with some Tampa Members near i75 and i10 and proceeded North through the back roads of Georgia.

If you love driving the S on some beautiful and challenging roads this is the trip for you.

It's not that bad. I felt the same way last year before the trip but I enjoyed every mile. It's worth the mileage.

What day are you guys planning on driving up?

We're thinking Thursday AM. Might be nice to coordinate an all Florida roll out

I've been before. Great time! Definitely interested in going. It'd be nice to have a large JAX showing like old times.

Not sure what my plan is yet. I'm just testing the local waters right now. I'll know in Feb if I can actually go. I think the last day to register is in March. If no one local goes I will try to meet up with another Fl. group depending on which day they go up.

Odd...this is WTD9-11. This is not ment to be a joke, just something I noticed when reading the title.

I've been to the dragon a couple times. Awsome and Scarey all at once. Its diffenately not the place to try and learn what type of driver you are, that or join the rest on the Tree of Shame.

I wish to attend this event. I'm in the process of switching Jobs so I'll have to ask my new employeers here shortly.

Hey Jim I specifically came to the Jax forum to see if y'all had a thread going, and I see you've started it! Yes guys this is worth it. More than worth it. I was in the camp "Why do I want to put hundreds of miles on my S just to drive it some more?" but now I am a Dragon zealot. It's what our cars were meant to be - incredibly nimble mountain-racing sports cars. Our flat, straight Florida roads will feel like a crime committed against your car when you return, and that is the only downside of this event.
