06+ ITBs?

Default 06+ ITBs?



Anyone know of someone making them? or has a fix to make them work with DBW?

I think that would be very difficult to do. If you really want ITBs, sell the 06 and pick up an 05.

i've seen countless mini coopers with itbs and they have dbw. (dont they?)

Actually...I think you are right.

You might be able to do it by getting a cable accelerator pedal assmbly. You would be completely replacing the intake so that the DBW is eliminated, so you should also be able to replace the oem ecu with an AEM EMS.

wouldnt it be easier to get custom made ITBs? there was a link on here of some1 who makes ITBs for the mini cooper as well as the s2000.

Since you will be using AEM EMS it really wont matter. You need to convert to the cable setup from a previous car. Itbs come with a tps sensor that you can use. One thing is that since its drive by wire the tps sensor is prob on the pedal.

i was thinking of using Emanage ultimate since theres a harness available to make it pnp for 06+.

^^ I don't know anyone that has been able to do ITBs without going full stand alone on the s2k.
