I agree with needing some cheaper ones. In essence, you're paying $150-$220 for two small rings of alluminum with bolts that go around them. That has to cost no more than a few dollars to manufacture, and I doubt it takes much R&D to come up with.

how much do you guys think a mechanic would charge to install these? could this possibly be a DIY job if you have the tools/time?

i watched a buddy of mine do it in about an hour. he had a lift and air tools. i bought the motorklasse ones with paypal. looked like a pretty straight forward job.

I got a good deal on the J's and my mechanic charged me $40 I think to install.

I'm thinking Santa got me a set. I'll install these when I get my 4.77s installed.

I got a good deal on the J's and my mechanic charged me $40 I think to install.
What is a "good deal"?
