Red face 16" emotion,..... Forged=fallacy

been trying and trying to get these wheels since i know the molds are still on hand @ work and i have my connections there.

emailed numerous times and finally got with the main guy over in the emotion section.

I spoke with one of our sales staff who took in charge of Spoon just now.

We actually never produced 16inch forged Emotion to anyone and the available size was 13/15/17 and 18inch.

The one thing he remembered about Spoon was that we used to make 16inch( or 15inch) Emotion CR( CAST) for their Integra,S2000

but we cannot produce them anymore. He also told me that the president of Spoon has been changed and their race activity in Japan is getting slow.

so, this is to say that all the 16" emotions out there, selling as forged are infact CAST, and the only forged models are that of the S2X style, 17" and also 18" for the s2000

Im not sure what to think.

I always remember in the FS Threads for the 16'' seeing a "forged" sticker in the inner dish next to the offsets.

HAHA. Your trying to hard bro.

They are infact a forged wheel and they are not cast, I repeat they are not cast. AKH Trading/Toda USA would not know this information regardless of what they think. They were not in the loop (at the time) and have a few misinformed sales personnel there.

The fact is Spoon contracted Work Japan (not USA) to make an exclusive to Spoon ONLY wheel for their race cars, not for anyone in the US. I spoke to the Spoon president in 2004 and 2005 and asked along with Opak about these wheels and he specifically stated that they only had 10 or so sets of the FORGED (16's) left and they were going to be selling to Opak and AJ Racing had bought a few sets as well. NOBODY else would be aloud to have access to these wheels which included AKH Trading.

We covered this well in 2001-2002. So this is all old news.

So bottom line is, they are forged, always have, always will be.

I spoke with AKH back in 2001 and talked to the manager at the time and he said the FORGED line (16 inch wheel we are talking about here) had been discontinued in 2000 and was not available to the public and he could not get them. He did offer me the cast and I passed at the time.

I might add he also confirmed back in 2001 that it was a Spoon ONLY specific wheel that no vendor could obtain in the US at that time.

idk i emailed work usa, who then emailed work japan, who was sent to the leader of the spoon group, who then emailed me back

i have emailed him back w/ pictures and more questions.. the fact of the matter is if they were made EVER they have the molds still in their okayama factory because they never throw away a mold.

so if they were ever made, and they have the mold (which im told they dont from the work director who works with spoon (like the work liason for spoon) anywho if its there im going to be getting 10 sets which i told him.. but i think im sol..

he directly told me the wheels on the 95 car as well as their spoon teg were cast 16 cause never made molds for 16" forged emotion.

we shall see.. emailed again today
