Default 70mm exhaust for dd

Hey guys,
I'm planning to go n/a and after researching I don't know what to do. I really want to get the single 70mm titanium exhausts and most people seem to agree that their gains are similar. But since my car will be my daily driver, I'm more concerned with the noise level of these exhausts. Some people say they are loud, some people say they are not as loud as people think they are, but this is pretty much all subjective to me. What I want to know is how loud these exhausts are under 4k rpm. Will I be able to hear my music? I live in California so any legal issues with cops? I heard the ASM 70mm exhausts are not that loud under normal driving conditions but the titanium version costs almost 3 thousand dollars. So anyone running these exhausts, your feedback would be appreciated. I'm mostly interested in t1r, j's, asm, or amuse (heard there were rattle issues with amuse).
Thanks

ive heard the asm 70mm and yeah its not screaming loud at all, idle is not bad at all either. If i had to guess, its around the sound level as a j's single 60mm

Yeah, that's what I heard. But 3000 for an exhaust is too much.. I saw that the amuse r1000 supports a silencer and that cruising speeds with it is 94db which isn't that bad considering stock is 91db. Is it hard to install/remove the silencer? Does anyone know how much it is? I couldn't seem to find it on the for sale section.

asm one actually comes with a silencer(cant see the screw/nut from outside) and you know they have a SS for about 15-7k right?

I used a 70 mm titanium header back exhaust and it was very loud plus it droned alot. With the silencer it gets really silent.

You are not going to find a 70mm that makes less noise than the ASM. Most other 70mm's have no resonator and that makes them really loud.

$1500.00 is an average price for an S2000 exhaust, Just stick with the SS version

J's Racing actually just released a 70RS model. This is designed to be a little more street friendly. They have not shipped any yet, but ill get one, and let you know how it sounds. I currently have a 70RR on my AP2, and it is definately loud. I dont mind it most days, as it is a second car. The silencer does help some, if you choose to buy one.

I guess I'm being stubborn for really wanting titanium. This link shows the stationary noise level for the Amuse r1000 with the silencer (the last one).

exhaust comparison

I love the j's exhaust and it has always been my first choice considering gains, weight, and price. But I doubt the 70rs is really going to make a difference with noise level.

Anyway, I guess ASM 70mm ss is the only option for me. It comes with the silencer when you buy it? How easy is it to remove it?

It comes with the silencer and it should be easy to put in and remove, but I have never tried. With how loud the exhaust is you dont really need a silencer. When you want to be quiet, dont go into higher RPM ranges and you will be fine.
