Yeah, this thread is not a knock on AJ-R at all -- I just don't want to pay the larger shipping and wait for the parts from Canada, I heard that this shop (and I guess Evasive as well) are great about the parts getting here fast.
I was getting ready for NOPI Nats and needed the parts ASAP, now I'm not going so not as big of a deal. Thanks for the input though guys!
And yeah, I understand what circa86 was talking about, AJ-R has some great track experience. So do I though, I know what I want and don't really need the advice ... and yeah there are a lot of shops in the country that have great track experience. Beating the J's Racing S2000 though ... not a lotta shops can say that!

I had a poor experience with R&D as well - but I won't get into it. AJR is all over this board and people seam to be happy with them. I personally would rather give the money to a semi-local shop like Ballistic Motorsports. If you are looking for "race" parts. I've had great success with the GoFastLab.
You also have Ballistic Motorsports in NH. Scott & Giles know more about the S2000 then anyone I've seen...Their secondary injection system is just sexy. Scott is an avid weekend warrior on the autoX/DE circuit so he knows what will make the car faster. They are a full service tuning shop, drive in and drive out with a car that's better.
As we all know the S2000 is an amazing car "out of the box" so to make it better, you need to the right parts and know what you are doing. We've all learned you can just stick parts on this car and expect it to be better.

bulletproof is a parts distributor that build demo cars for magazines to get the name out for the companies they are distributing for, they hardly compete or let alone are involved in any motorsports, as a company.
don't know about evolution, but I am not convinced, you go to any small tuning shop in Japan and they are building cars for customers to compete on the Touge, at the track, on the expressway, at a Rally, etc. etc. etc. There are shops that want to build cars for shows but it is pretty rare to find.
whatever, i'm tired of talking about this.
