Alignment on New S2000 + Coilover
Hey guys,
I'm getting my Laguna Blue S2000 in 2 weeks ( shipped from Japan like all yours ^^ ). I am going to put Tein-Flex with EDFC in it right when I get the car. Do I still need alignment even if the car is brand new? If yes, is alignment on S2000 with coilovers something very tricky to do? What are your experiences? Any recommendation before I do the installion? Will run on stock tires. Thanks.

Anytime you lower it you should get it alligned; it has nothing to do with the age of the car. To do it you need some pretty expensive machines, so it's best just to take it to an allignment shop where it will cost you ~$65-$100.
Alignment and corner balance is the best thing to do after a coilover install. Give your new springs a couple weeks (or 300-500 miles) to settle, then go for alignment + corner balance.
Finding shops that corner balance is tough. You will need to find a local race team shop and ask if they corner balance or if they know a shop that does.

not really on the flex as long as u only adjust the bottom perch and leave the springs preloaded as they come no worries. but it helps if their balanced
Also, make sure that you get the right C/O's cuz I don't know how but I got 2 front right C/O's. Make sure the front's have differerent part #'s. Mine had the same part #...

But I would wait about 1000 miles before I get an alignment. Gotta wait for suspension to settle.
As far as corner weighting I wouldn't really do it unless you track the car. If you don't corner weight it's just the same as just dropping the car w/ springs. That is the advantage of C/O's.
FYI... To corner weight means to adjust height on each corner so you get more of a 50/50 weight distribution and 50/50 cross weight. I just want to clarify.

sorry for the "newbish" question BUT, is a new alignment required after you adjust the ride height each time?
ex. I live in florida. hurricane season i chose to raise the car up a bit for the water etc.., is an alignment needed for this instance?
