Also, there's no way I would ever cover my beautiful spoon snorkel with aluminum heat tape just to POSSIBLY gain .00000000001 HP.
Its not 0.000000000001 hp! I have done that in my old civic vtec's CAI! I have also put a digital air temperature meter in the airbox, and the temp is 6-7 *C cooler, even in HOT days! That is AT LEAST 3-4 Hp!! (Especially in the this HOT engine bay! Ok maybe the S2000's intake is not next to the header like the civic but..)

dyno a CAI will get you no where as it's impossible to force that air through in a stationary dyno.

That is true...But I still want to know if anyone has dyno tested their J's or Mugen CAI...and if they got any imporvments. I know when I had my AEM it showed some gains on the dyno and it was CAI.

There are dyno's for the Mugen intake and it shows some gains. These were published in hyper rev. I would expect that the J's intake shows very similar gains although the peak gain curve is probably shifted down slightly to lower rpm due to the use of the tsuchinko chamber.

Is it possible to even dyno the J's intake? It would seem that there woudn't be enough air being forced into the snorkle with just a regular fan. I'm surprised that no J's owners have said anything about Dyno numbers.

Yes, it requires that you either cut your OE hood or purchase an aftermarket hood.

[QUOTE=Alfredo,Nov 1 2004, 05:00 AM] I combined the Spoon CAI with the Comptech filter and alternate with the K&N filter.

I dont think it's a good valid point, when i did my testing i use a datalogger, which monitor the temp of the incoming air. the reading of the air inside the air box can be misleading(aka more varible)
