Default arc intake question..

i'm trying to buy the ARC intake for my 06 s2000 and i'm a little confused.

do i have to buy both of these separately?

http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo....er=ARC-AICBAP1

does anyone know a better site thats more clear about what exactly i'm buying?

thanks

yes, you need both pieces. and evasive is probably cheaper

but... have you heard the feedback on this intake? it's not all that great. looks awesome under the hood, but it heatsoaks and has been shown to lose power.

yea its lil hard to find a vendor or shop carry the induction box and chamber in stock. used ones always pop up for sale. anyways i have the ARC intake installed and i dyno'd the car before and after and i got decent gains out it. also heard that a vented hood eliminates the heat soak issue.

This intake will not work with 2006 models without some work. You may be able to get away with just the box and filter, but if you want to run the chamber you will need to do some drilling. This is pretty much the case for all intakes for 2006 models right now.

I have the ARC and throttle response is gained, I haven't had it dynoed since the install, to see any increases or decreases in HP/TQ but I'm sure that the throttle response would make up for any slight loss. BTW I was previously running the V1 AEM CAI. Another thing you can do is get a radiator cooling panel that channels the cool airflow right into the top of the intake, I know J's Racing makes a decent one.
