Default Which is best? Does it clear humps?

Hi, I'm considering a j's rear diffuser or spoon (are there any others?). I'd like to know which is best in terms of weight or measurable performance (i.e. lap times)

Also would like to know how they manage over road humps? i have a feeling the spoon one would not fare too well but the j's might do better?

Both will not fare well over speed bumps, driveways, etc. From what I've seen from both used diffusers, scratches are inevitable.

I would get in contact with "Kel" and ask him. He is running a spoon diffuser and is quite knowledgeable about aero (based on listening to him talk at the track).

Is there any reason you feel the car needs a diffuser? Most people buy them as show pieces.

well actually i do have a reason for them. the stock bumper seems to hold a ton of air resulting in probably alot of lift. if i could run a diffuser which reduces my positive lift, i might be able to run a less aggressive wing/angle of attack to give me less drag. at least i have options

i don't mind scratches but i am definitely not looking forward to leaving my diffuser on a hump somewhere that i couldn't clear.

i'll pm him but thanks for your input!

also, check into a vented rear bumper to solve the "parachute" effect of the rear bumper if the diffuser thing falls through. I wouldn't imagine that it'd have as positive of an effect as the diffuser or a vented bumper/diffuser combo, but it's something!

Do you mean to cut the stock rear bumper to vent it? I was thinking about it but I am reconsidering it due to the possible ghetto-like look it might result in

Regarding the parachute effect, I really don't think it's necessary to cut the rear bumper. The benefits will be nominal.

I'm glad to hear you have thought it through, rather than just using it as a show piece.

I really wanted the spoon one but at my ride hieght, it would be destroyed in a day. The j's is higher yes, just not as nice imo.
