black H badges
you cannot get the "open" H in anything other than the stock chrome.
Just paint your stock badges like many other people do.
There are several versions of the "filled" H badges out there, from the Ricks, to the OEM Black Chrome or the JDM colored badges from 00-01 cars.

just sand it first so the paint has a key. if you dont, it doesnt matter how many coats of paint you put on it will chip.
any paint will do - krylon is good enough. a couple of coats and a clearcoat and you are good to go

I painted my H's on my last car with flat black rustoleum (I dont think thats spelled right). I put 2 coats and it lasted until I sold the car (about 2 years) I did not prep the emblems at all and they never required touch up paint.
I think they have flat, semi gloss, and glossy available
I would try gloss if you want to match those pictured above.

i just think that with EVERYTHING else they sell with honda they would also sell these, dosent make sense. im going to take mine off this week probally and paint it if i cant find any black H emblems online somewhere. if i find them i will post the link for you guys.
take a large piece of scotch brite pad, place the emblem on it face down and rub it back and forth really fast. this will prep it to a brished aluminum look depending on how hard you press. then hit it with a couple of caots of flat black. i used the 99 cent suff over a year ago and its still there.
