Default comptech intake

ok i know this product has been duscussed 50 times, i have spent hours and hours looking for answers, so please dont mention the "use the search function" i have also pm'ed 10-15 members. I am torn between replacing the stock intakebox and getting the muz intake snorkle and the comptech dropin filter. My other choice is to get the comptech icebox intake, but have read about issues or ratteling, vibration, poor fitment and small power gains. If i get this product i will make a "snorkle" that will direct air from the front dam into the box for extra air. the muz snorkle costs almost as much as the comptech box, and i have a few questions about the comptech system
1.if all i have from the stock system is the metal hosse bracket will i need to guy alot of hoses from home depot to make this kit work, or does comptech supply what i will need in termsof hoses.i havethe aem v2 and what ever hoses are used with this intake are the hoses i have at the moment.
2. Im worried about fitment, and have heard alot of bad things in regards to fitment and ratteling/vibrations....peoplehave mentioned i can fix the ratteling problems with padded tape.....if members with this intake can comment that would be great....those who have done before/after dyno's wouldbe even better....thanks guys.

Comptech provides the hoses that come with the intake. Also, I have not had any issues with rattling. The only thing you have to do is shave the opebning on the lid a little bit, so the hood prop can rest in there (or just get hood dampers). The sound at WOT is intoxicating.

And when did Comptech become JDM?

I have no rattling issues either.... I did have a fitment problem too as far as the hood prop not fitting in its slot. But that was taken care of with a set of hood dampers. I love the intake and do not regret the purchase at all!!!!!

I was teasing about the JDM As far as the metal brackets, if you mean the clamps for the vacuum hoses then yes. I have a pic of the intake installed that I can post later for you (it's on my comp. at home), that might give you a better idea.

I doubt this picture will help (I thought I had a better one that was more close up), but take a look and if it isn;t what you need I can try to take a better one.
