Default Dc5-R Brembos on an S?

i was just looking and both the dc5r and the s the caliper is mounted behind the wheel

so i was wondering if anybody had an idea if they could work

iv seen just the front and rear calipers sold for pretty cheap, and the fronts are 4 piston and the rears are 2 so they whould be a nice upgrade if they whould work

from what i see you whould need some custom brackets to mount them

so any help whould be great

2 front calipers, and 2 rear calipers just the 4 calipers iv seen for 700
thats not bad imo, most people find them for like 1400 but thats usually 4 calipers, 4 rotors, aluminum front lower control arms and sway bar endlinks and the rest of the crap you need to do the swap on a rsx, only reason you need all that stuff is cuz the dc5r uses diffrent lca's and in turn uses a different sway bar and in turn uses differne shocks, but with an S2k im thinking it should just need a custom bracket to hold the calipers in postiion, iv seen just 2 front spoon calipers for 1000

thats why im interested in seeing if this will work

thanks

Sounds like a JDM forum question. Moving.

Brembo are made in Italy. They are not JDM.

The brembos that he's refering to are off the DC5-R Integra Type R, which IS made in Japan so I'd say this is still the right place for this

As for whether or not they'd work, I'm not sure.

i never said they were jdm, i didnt post this in this forum i posted it somewhere else and it was moved, and i dont know why it was moved to the jdm fourm, this is a technical question, not some b.s. question like where can find this 5 thousand dollar jdm exhaust

my question has nothing to do with being jdm, it just so happens, that the caliper in question is available on the japanese and european dc5 integra type r's so i dont know i think this should be in the technical forum so people that know what they are talking about and are interested in having better brakes and actually being faster and improving there cars performance wise other than buying some over priced JDM part-

With custom brackets you can put on the brembos from an F430. Whether they will "work" is a different question. You need to have somebody with intimate knowledge of both braking systems to answer this or the ability/knowledge to calculate the piston sizes and pressure ratios front to back (most likely very different on a FWD). Have you verified that the rotors are exactly the same?

@Carbon
Dont get upset. I just made this comment because I was so surprised that I checked Brembo site to confirm that they are made in Italy just for my reference.

Nothing personal mate.
