The diameter doesn't make it louder. Basically the lighter an exhaust is, the louder it is, but you can't compare Ti against Stainless for loudness. The majority of 70mm exhaust are lightweight and pretty loud.

I think the RS is resonated. Resonators change the tone of the exhaust and take a little edge off, but usually don't make the exhaust significantly quieter. Exhausts get quiet by using thick gauge steel and large mufflers.

How much louder is the 70mm then the 60mm? To loud for daily driver use?

Also, can someone please tell me the difference between the 70RR and the 70RS?
The RS is resonated and is a catback exhaust

The 70rr is non resonated and is a headerback

Both are one peice and both are very very nice exhaust set-ups but the 70rr is VERY loud

diamater does effect loudness and wwight has very little to do with loudness. A 70mm is going to be much louder then a 60mm or 63mm. The main thing is to see if the exhaust is resonated or not. Like I said above teh 70rr is VERY loud but thats because it is 70mm with no resonator and is a header back so there is no cat either. The 70rs to me is good for a DD but is still on the loud side. The 60rs is not loud at all. It is actually pretty quiet

Alright one more for ya.

Performance wise? With just a test pipe how much more hp are you gonna gain from a 70RS VS 60RS?

I couldnt just say a number, its not that easy

You may loose down low but gain across the mid and a lot across the high rpm range. The best way to find out is buy it and dyno it but i know that is not cheap or easy

I just fitted a 70RS the other day to my S, couldn't believe how light it was, easy to pick up with one finger.

I'm running it with a test pipe and I must admit it is a lot quieter than I thought it would be, its loud between 3-4k in the low gears, I guess you could call it drone but its a nice sporty drone, not ear bleeding drone. Cruising speed at 3-4k there is no drone.

Can't really describe what it sounds like at full speed apart from I like it LOTS.

And as a bonus I picked up over .5psi just by swapping it over from a Mugen on my SC seup.

I'll get a flyby video this week of it.

I agree with the other answer to this in part, you can not really give a definate #, but on a stock car I would expect to pick up about 8-10whp with a 70rs, and about 3-6whp with the 60rs, given that the test pipe will probably pick up 4-5whp coupled w/ the exhast.
