The fate of Apex-i?
So I've heard that Apex has had some financial troubles and was bought out by another company that has just went under as well. Anyone heard anything about it? My source is pretty reliable and lives in Japan(not that it matters). What do you think will happen to Apex? I hope someone steps up to the plate and saves the products at least. They do make some good things.
I wouldn't characterize it as "so many Japanese companies" -- in comparison to the amount of US car companies that go under every year, they're doing fine. I too hope that Apex'i gets their stuff together in a timely fashion, they are one of the most popular companies in our industry and it's a shame that mismanagement has forced this ... I don't know the details of their closure either, but I've heard that as well. Starting like 6 months ago they completely closed their branch in the US, so I saw it coming, but it's a shame.

the tuning market in japan has been declining for quite sometime which has caused the japanese companies to have to rely more on overseas sales. ufnortunately companies like megan, invidia, ebay brands and so on are beating their prices causing them to lose share in the us market as well.
apexera in japan(the parent company) lost their ass on their communications investment which ate up a lot of money. they stopped racing and cut costs to help cover the major loss but it was apparent that they would never be the same. they lost toshi and nabs who were the two that made them their name in the US and today they are just a shadow of what they once were. it is unfortunate because i really enjoyed working with their staff, they were easily one of the nicest companies to deal with in the industry.
don't be surprised if in the next 18 months you see even more companies just start to disappear, it's our goal to try and help sustain the japanese companies but it's up to the consumers as well to continue to choose their parts.

So to all u cheap bastards buying ebay parts ,!,, sell you cars and buy kia's lol. Go big or go home.
I think Apexi is much more popular in Japan than in the US. I watch a lot of BMI, Hot Version, and a few others that show quite a few highly modded cars using a lot of apexi parts. PFC was a good product just too many tards didnt know how to use it. I hate to see any business go under really JDM or american.
