A weak Yen to Dollar exchange being a big part of the rising cost of JDM parts plus weak domestic economy doesnt make it ideal for growth of sales in the USA right now. While the Japanese economy is very strong still, some businesses that export alot are starting to be hurt by their high currency value.

With the lower US Dollar it has made it easier for brands like our Challenge line to do well in the global market even. We only import some suspension components from Japan for that line.

For GT Motoring, we are mostly just doing Kreissieg and Amuse recently. Amuse parts being expensive parts from day one, the poor exchange just amplifies the cost even more now. We still support many JDM tuning companies and import them, just seems like due to cost, alot of the demand has lowered from customers here.

just my 2 cents on why this forum is moving a little slow right now.

JDM mania is done, move along now, nothing here to see. The next fad will be bone stock.

With many S2k being bought for under 15k people are not willing to buy parts for premium prices. Buying one baller part for almost a quarter for the price that the car cost really doesn't make too since. Also a lot of the JDM manufactures are going to newer cars like the CRZ.

this is exactly where this sub-forum went wrong. somewhere along the way it became accepted that anything that was really "jdm" had to be ultra high end, exclusive, and therefore expensive.

in reality it is bs. the culture that was created in this forum was totally wrong, and i'm not surprised at all those that tried to purvey that specific idea up and left when they couldnt maintain it
