"dry carbon" Gurney flaps? WTF? Talk about missing the point....

A buddy of mine was sporting a new Gurney flap on the wing of his 993 this past weekend. He just went down to the hardware store, bought a piece of aluminum angle, and stuck it on with doublesided tape. He was pretty happy with the result.

if you're really wanting a dry carbon gurney flap, I'm sure you can buy them from ASM or voltex

Compared to about $5 for extruded aluminum. And another $5 for a can of spraypaint, if you want it to be black.

Besides the fact it will cost more then $5, perhaps he doesn't want it to look like a piece of metal that he sprayed black with a rattle can.

I guess.

My friend's actually looked pretty dang good, though. Of course, lots of stuff looks good on a 993.
