The BPA lip is actually a copy of the Jet's Japan lip... though from what I've heard the Jets lip doesn't have great fitament...

That lip was from back in 99. It was a project for my own car and I decided to make a limited production run. I had never planned on selling a lot of them and I have no interest in bringing them back regardless of how much money could be made in doing so.

At the time I had imported a Jets lip for myself. The quality was horrible and besides the poor fit, I was worried that I was going to destroy it (which ended up happening). So I built one that fit better and was built stronger for my own car. I sold 15 or so to finance the project and help launch Bulletproof. It was successful in both respects, but I have no interest in doing it again.

1999-2000 it was a different time. It was nearly impossible to get the original Jets parts and I felt that I was doing a service to the S2000 community to bring that design and better quality to the US. Today, there are importers that can offer you the original part and I see no need to make a copy, even if it happened to be an improved copy in that circumstance.

So, I believe that jets might still make the original part. While I dont import Jets, I'd imaigne that others could probably get it for you. Hopefully they've improved their production quality over the past few years.

Best of luck.

I wonder how many of those 15 are still around. A buddy of mine snapped his in half about 2 months ago while driving in LA.

yeah, they hang low and they're prone to cracking because of how low they sit. I built them pretty thick, but with a lowered car it's inevitable that they will crack eventually. I hit a SEMI tire head on doing about 85 on the freeway and that was the end of my lip.
