On that note I am very disappointed that out of all the "expressed" interest, when the good word is out and opportunity is knocking.

More than anything I think everyone that wants BC to succeed at this test is so they don't have to pay more than $600 bucks for a quality set of cams. FTMFL

 

are there any dynos showing gains with the unicorn cams? the only car i ever read about running them was mines13 with itbs i think. im not buying them but very interested in a dyno sheet

 

I suggest creating a new thread and see what kind of traction you can gain from there. You may need to clear it with the moderator's of this forum to ensure they will alow and approve.

I created this thread a while ago as I was debating wether to go FI or stay NA. I ended up going FI as I kept hearing that the Hytech parts were in coinstant delay and many that have posted in this thread stating that they were in touch with John and were told that July 1st, 2008 was the target date. I know a local S2K owner that had placed an order with John for the complete kit and is still waiting, this is almost 1 year since he had placed his order.

Doubt your buddy has paid him any money. John will take orders with no deposit. I have it confirmed that there are definitely at least 20 kits sitting on his shelf right now. Money makes the world go round and it helps encourage production. Either that or your buddy doesn't have the mods required to run them. It most certainly wasn't a simple yes when I asked him to sell them to me.

^^^^ I am afraid that you are misinterpreting my comments.

In order to convince John to sell me his cams I needed to convince him that my car deserved it and had the supporting mods to make them work so I wouldn't trash him cams like so many others have done to other manufacturers. My car is ready to utilize it and I can't negotiate him selling to other people who are not ready for them, hence the required mod list.

Considering how much I have spent in the last 2 months $2500 is a bit on the high side for a cam kit alone and considering how many people have been waiting for them I figured I could help save me some money and help out a few members as well.

At this point I have heard enough about unicoms and empty promises from people who won't pony up the money anyway or aren't ready for this mod yet.

I don't care either way what you or anyone else believe. This forum is for sharing information. I have nothing to prove to anyone here.

BTW - If they are as good as I believe they are I won't be helping anyone get the kit.

The negativity or lost hope that you hear from other members in this post are because they have been trying to get this stuff from John for months, even after he has claimed that it is ready etc.

With the exception of the exhaust, pg 2 indicates you have to still buy the whole kit (ITB/H/CAMS) and allow him to install. That is the last word from the horses mouth. Eventually turned into a header cam discussion with Mines13 as the possible go-to guy.

He never intended to sell the cams separate...clearly.
