I don't know what to say about this. It shows a total of 45 hp over the baseline for the cost of probably north of $6-7 grand.

The AEM and tune on a stock car should get you 20 hp. You can even get about that with emanage. So you are in essence buying the last 25 hp for about $5,000 or more.

I think its great that someone put the r&d into it but it will have an extremely limited market. Especially with greddy turbos at under $4000.

Now, had a header been released about a year ago that had a solid gain, they probably would have sold a thousand, but in that time you have the greddy turbo, the kraftwerks SC and the SOT Hotside making more power and most likely all selling for less.

Maybe if they strengthen the valvetrain and this tune will spin it up beyond 9500 rpm then some people who love NA and a high rpm scream will want it, but I dunno.

I think with Cams, Header and tune 275hp is a reasonable goal. The ITB's cant be making most of that power. Being Church is doing the tuning it does not surprise me that the HP output seems so high. My car put down 243 ish with header, exhaust, and intake wihtout a tune.

an extra 40hp would be great though

The ITBs are doing nothing for high end, but are adding a lot in the 3500 to 5600 range. John thinks a better plenum would make more HP then the ITBs.

Also, you can get 20 HP on an F20C with a tune. I have yet to see anyone get top end on an F22C with a tune. The stock AF is spot on for the engine. Hondata is the king of tuning and made nothing up top on an F22C. Hell the only HP to be made was by shitting VTEC. http://www.hondata.com/reflash_s2k_06.html

I dont want to start an F20 vs F22C war but on this "magic" dyno F20's average 220 and F22's average 240. So you are seeing a net of 65 over a F20C so the parts would still be worth 40HP..

The ITBs have been noted by several people of making 5HP up top at most. The cams and header make up most of the remaining 40HP.

Church even stated that no cams have ever made more than or close to ten, Hytechs made 18...

Also, lets not forget that He did not even touch compression or the head.

1 Compression pt could be worth 8-14HP on this engine. Head flow would open up more for the cams and manifold. Putting in AP1 pistons or welding the chamber would take this to another level.

Im not jockin anyone but John found 40+ HP on one of the most developed engines in the world.

you think that. but the kit cannot be purchased... therefore... why give anyone credit before you actually see the proof in production? the fact is, the kit will never even be available.
