I am trying to get Vivid Racing set up with John to be a direct distributor for Hytech.

As of today John will be taking Pre-orders for the camshaft kit (set to be available July 1st). If Vivid does create a wholesale account with them I will be pushing for a GB as John is looking for about 20 pre-orders to make this a go.

Per my discussion with John the kit will be offered at $2499. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Keep your fingers crossed on this one.
Cam shafts alone will be $2499?! I assume that includes the valvetrain set as well?

Affirmative.

Cams + valvetrain kit.

holy crap 2499?! The 283hp dyno had ITB's and a hytech header also IIRC. That would put the whole kit at what? 6000 or 7000? Sounds like Hytech is the American version of ASM.

As expensive as that may sound, Hytech delivers in the power dept every time. ASM intake, header,Amuse Ti exhaust will put you at 7-8k .

Besides, how many members are rockin 283whp on an N/A set up? Invest in Hytech for REAL gains.

I think it's "HUB" HP, not WHP. The 283 figure will be lower when you factor in power at the wheels (is that the mustang dyno?) Regardless, from what I read Hytech products DO deliver.
Looked up the Toda prices in comparison:
F series cams (In & exh) = 1200
Valve springs set = 400
That's $1600.

If the Hytech kit will include retainers, then the price is not too far off. Can you confirm whether or not retainers are included?
Yes I can and yes they are included.

If these numbers are consistently true then it is definitely an awesome deal! IMO, it's so much better than what any other tuner can offer...comes to a point where all the others seem like a joke.

how is that funny? 3 months or more for a freakin domestic made header is funny.
Apparently you know little about the domestic HP market too. Hedman has had a part number in their catalog for 18 months and still hasn't produced it yet

It allows an LS1 engine into a 1st Gen Camaro (67-69)

No, I know something about how to run a business. A skill it seems many domestic(USDM) performance companies lack.
