Default J's Racing Circuit N1 exhaust

Hey everyone, I have a J's Racing Circuit N1 exhaust on the way, it should be at my place next week some time. I didn't have much info about the exhaust, so I did some searches, and apparently there were a few people on this board who had this exhaust about 4-5 years ago, but then they just seemed to disappear. This is what I've gathered so far:

60mm catback exhaust
Very loud
J's Racing had a dyno sheet on it showing a gain of 15bhp with this exhuast
Discontinued when the 60RS series exhaust debuted

I don't know why this was discontinued, or how loud it actually is. I listened to silentdancer's video clip (which sounds bad-ass), and it didn't sound that loud to me. It didn't sound like he revved it up the whole way, and maybe the volume on the video was off, but is it really *that* loud of an exhaust? Anything else I should know?

UPDATE: This is the one of the best exhausts ever. Sounds like a f***ing race car, but it's like stock when you're just crusing. Even the girl in my passenger's seat last night, who hated the idea of me getting a single exhaust, started screaming with joy when I took it to 9k. There's more to that story ... and I entirely credit the exhaust. Oh, and as it turns out, this is not the N1 Circuit muffler w/ the resonator, it's the one that was made w/o a resonator (even more rare apparently). Anyway, pic and clip are here!

Oh, of course I'll post pics and a vid up when I get it in. Consequently, if anyone in FL needs a stock AP1 exhaust, you can have mine for $100

stainless steel from what i remember, should pretty much be just a straight pipe like what they ran on their super taikyu cars. was super expensive for what it was but it was purely a race exhaust, want to say it was in the 189000 yen range. i could look in some old j's catalogs for more info if i can figure out where they are.

That's fine, just wanted some background info. I heard that they were all hand-made, including the bends and welds -- nice!

There was one for sale on here not too long ago. I don't think it sold for very much either.

Yeah, there was one for sale on S2KCA last year. The seller was asking $400 for it.

I found a quote on it from this link.. the exhaust looks nice BTW

"From Racetrack to street -- all around high performance exhaust system
Made of 2mm stainless- Main 60.5mm, Silencer 125mm, Tail 90mm
10 to 15 hp increase (data based on JDM S2000 250hp)
Weight 8.5 kg -- almost 17kg lighter than stock
Sound level - 90 db to 93 db"

Cool, thanks for the info! It should be here Thursday, I'll put it on this on this weekend if my test pipe gets here in time.

Thanks for the info, I see from the pics that the resonator shouldn't have any problem clearing the rear tie bar. I wonder why this changed with their first generation of RS series exhausts?

BTW thanks, I like the look of the exhaust too, and being 2mm piping, it should last a long time. Also thanks for the old ATS link from the S2KCA page, it had great info. 90-93db is not very loud at all, and I like that it weighs more than their titanium 60mm exhausts -- my old 60RS would make the rear end swing out even on straight line acceleration b/c it was so light!
