Default J's Racing 60RS Rattle question.

Hi, I have a J's racing 60RS catback that was installed with a T1R 70mm test pipe. After some use the car had a leaky exhaust/raspy buzzing sound coming from the test pipe area. Happens when slowly getting out of first gear. The test pipe has an OEM cat heatshield around it. No problems with performance. Used for about 20K miles max I'd say.

I uninstalled both of these because of an exhaust ticket. I was shaking the 60RS side to side and where the resonator is, there's something inside sliding side to side. Doesn't have very much sliding movement but something is a little bit loose. Seems like it might be normal almost. I bought this brand new and don't remember if it did that before.

MY QUESTION-I heard from a potential buyer of my exhaust that this is a common problem and the only way to solve it is to cut open the resonator secure the loose object and reweld it shut(very expensive supposedly).

Is this correct? I thought initially that the heatshield around the test pipe was the buzzing sound.
Since I want to sell the exhaust I want to be as fair as possible about it.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Your resonator needs to be repaired. You're in Cali, so somebody around there should be able to weld titanium.

Oh, I didn't see someone had posted a link to a titanium welders in CA thread

Don't know any in Toronto, but there have to be some, it's a huge metropolis. Otherwise you could ship it to someone, but shipping is considerable on the older 60RS exhausts b/c they're all one piece, so very long.
