Default J's racing 70rr?

Hi i'm new to the forum (first post) but i've been a reader for a while.

My question is does the j's 70rr come with an O2 bung, i've heard that it doesn't and would need a titanium welder to make it happen is this true.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Welcome Raven,

Yes the 70mm comes with an O2 bung. If you get the header back exhaust (which gets rid of the cat), you have have to do the spark plug defouler mod to get rid the CEL that you will get.

Hope this helps. I have the 70mm on my car. It is loud but it sounds like a F1 car!

i also have the 70RR on my car and ive also had it on my AP1.

the 70RR does have the bung for the 02 like said above.

*warning*
The J's Racing 70RR is very loud inside the car and also very loud on cold starts and has lots of drone. It is an amazing sounding exhaust, but its not for everyone. Sometimes it annoys me, but 90% of the time, i love it. I just get nervous around cops and feel like a dick driving in my neighborhood at night time or starting the car in the morning...

Also do the 08s have bigger O2 sensors (i mean would the 02 bung need to be bigger diameter) than the earlier models.

Basically i'm trying to get the J's 70rr for MY08, would i be able to do this without fabrication of some sort?

Prove it. I have dynoed with a 70mm exhaust that was header back as well. My AFR's were safe.

Yeah I call BS on the 70rr requiring tuning. My car drove great with it. Its an awesome exhaust but I had it on my DD. Lets just say I carried ear plugs for me and my passenger. Yes, its that loud on the freeway. If you drive it like you stole it all the time though, its the perfect exhuast

Ya, it doesnt require tuning. You definatly dont NEED to, but if you want to get the maximum gains you are capable of with it, Tuning is a must. The AFC neo is good enough, but I would spring for the Greddy Emanage Ultimate or AEM EMS if you are going to tune though so you dont lose part of your tune.

yeah, BS on the required tuning part.
I run this on my DD and it's wonderful.
the only time I have complaints is with the top up. Aside from that, I LOVE it.

but the above post is very correct in saying that it's not for everyone.
