I had it and absolutely loved it. It is super loud. but i also had it with headers and TP. It has tons of drone. If you want your car to sound like a race car this is the exhaust to do it with. It was shame they stopped making it. I think it far better looking then the current models.

I'm going to be using a Berk test pipe with it, whenever the test pipe comes in I'll install them both at the same time ... I was hoping that would erase the drone, I know on the 60RS I had there was practically no drone. I do miss my 70RR though, it had lots of drone but I thought it was worth it. How many J's exhausts do you have to own before you become a J's whore?

TWO!! i had that N1 J's long time ago it was so amazing, beautiful yet powerful sound. one of the reasons that made me love my s2k even more (i have it since 2003) .... now i have the J's 70rr, and in between these two i had the T1R 70 stainless steel single.

i can assure u that the old J's is louder than the T1R 70 single i had, i had them all with TP and later with j's header. only the 70rr is louder!! love it!

the only reason that made me replace my old J's is that i went FI and wanted wider piping, missed the old sound, had to be back with the rr!! id never change it (my car is a DD)!! but i couldnt agree more that the sound is worth the drone,, now i even started enjoying the drone!

i had that exhaust and loved it! but once i got the 4.77 gears i couldnt deal with the loudness on the high way at 4500 rpm at 70mph. I now have switched to the 70mm asm exhaust

Thanks for the comments! I just got the exhaust in, and the d-bag seller failed to mention that before getting rid of the exhaust, he cut out the resonator and welded a piece of straight pipe in its place. I have an appointment with a good local shop (Stage 6, you may have heard of it, they have a twin-turbo'd GT40 doing thousands of horsepower) to have a resonator welded in.

On a positive note, this exhaust looks amazing. The welds (all hand-made) are exquisite, and the piping has turned a gold color that is just sick. Once this resonator issue is fixed, I'll have the exhaust on and ready to go! I also have a Berk test pipe sitting here, so sound clips will be up!
