2pc is better than one when it comes to remove/repair/repaint. But I think it looks better as a one piece.

Back from the abyss; what, if anything, did you folks who went for the two piece design use for weatherstripping?

Could have purchased a urethane version as a solid bumper. If it is the bottom add on, leave it as two pieces. You will have problems if you mold it.
