J's racing Type V carbon fiber hood
I just recieved my new J's racing Type V carbon fiber hood. I think it was clearcoated by J's but im not sure if thats good enough or if I should have my local body shop add a few more coats. I was quoted $200 my a local shop to clearcoat the hood.
what do you guys think?????????????????????????

The clear coat on it from First Molding will suffice for several years. I had mine for over a year with no problems at all. That would be my last concern years down the line as the hood aged and got old, not brand new.

No problem. I would check the hood in like 2-3 years. Also just keep an eye on it. Remember also, the higher you have a STB the higher your chances are of the STB warping and/or fading the clearcoat. The Js Type S started to do that after 2 years with the original Comptech STB.
