^Here ya go: As for the real deal japanese spec headlights, the MY99-01 in Japan had clear diffusers, along with an opposite beam pattern (compared to ours). Japan's MY02-03 had the same clear diffusers but with the chrome housings.

Now, Ricks made a replica of our USDM orange diffuser, but instead are clear, which is what you've seen around posted here. Shortly after, ricks made a smoke version. Then he also replicated the JDM diffusers in clear and smoke, which is what many people have.

Some people have just completely removed the diffuser from the housing and are very satisfied with the look.

For your MY02, I suggest just purchasing ricks clear jdm diffusers since it is a much cheaper alternative and looks just like real JDM headlights. And with this way, you won't have to deal with the wrong beam pattern and different turn signal sockets.

So let me get this straight cause I was kinda unsure of your post HyperDimensions (no offense)

Since I have an 01 S2000 its just a clear diffuser black housing, but if you have an 03 S2000 its a clear diffuser chrome housing? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to buy my JDM headlights very soon and I'm unsure of which one is the correct one to purchase for the 01 model Thanks!

^Yes, for the japanese spec headlights, the MY99-01 has no chrome, MY02-03 has chrome housings. Any of these years (99-03) will fit your AP1 car, its just a matter of whether or not you want the chrome projectors. Some people like the chrome ones to match with the newer tail lights (MY02/03) and some just like the clear diffuser, period.

Sorry for the bad post. After reading what I posted, it seems to be a bit unclear. Don't forget the JDM turn signal sockets!

JDM lamps with clear diffuser and non chromed housings. I could'nt deal with the beam pattern and put my OEM ones back on. (sorry I don't have a pic of the other ones.)

they are aimed differently... think about it, they are driving on the opposite side of the road... left is higher, right is lower with JDM housings... you'd be blinding oncoming traffic
