Hello I currently have this wing

Looking to install it on my S2000 its a 2004. I believe I need a 3rd brake light from an AP1?

Is that true? If so any particular year? Can I just swap lights from my buddies AP1 to mine and my AP2 to his AP1?

Im assuming thats why King sells this for the AP2's

2002+ vehicles require use of 2000-2001 3rd brake light 34270-S2A-003 (sold separately).

$200 dollars from a dealership

 

They can be found around here cheaper. I found out the hard way that the 3rd brake light from newer models are shaped just a bit differently. I believe it's got something to do with which models had the glass in the soft top.
Just check with your local buddies and trade with someone who has a 00-01

 

yea just trade... i traded mine to a guy free of charge for this same reason.
