Don't go selling your current Defi setups, it might be awhile before we see these new units. Straight from Defi themselves:

Hi, Bill.

Thank you for inquiry.
We have not fixed release plan yet. because this new prototype
of Defi-Link Display requires new Control Unit. So to release new Defi-Link Display,
we have to discontinue all current Defi-Link gauges.

So this must be huge impact to our products marketing.
I guess it will need a few or more years..
