Default New Project - Just for the heck of it....

Well as you guys know we love the F series motors.

Jeremy and I decided to try this out and we have got this far. Have a few parts being made as we speak so as those come it, the car will be running soon.

Damn! Props for the custom work, but is that going to be any better than doing a K24/Type-S head swap?

its not really being better in "general"

but,

Its been easier for us to find core f series parts vs k series. Also, i was able to get 301rwhp (about 320-325 FWHP) on my f series motor with a stock head (unported), stock head, stock intake manifold, stock throttle body.

We will use this to do some more R&D on parts for the F series motor

Wow what transmission did you use? Planning to sell adapter plates?

Would you say the F series is as potent as the k series motors?

Bisimoto uses an Accord F series engine and D series transmission.

Wow that is pretty crazy. Do you plan to boost this bad boy or leave it NA? I am also curious as to which tranny you used.

its a kseries tranny.

we might sell this as a kit if there is enough interest.

The potential here is better than the k series cause as most people know we have been boosting F series motors BONE stock with a headgasket to lower the compression. The f series motors have made 450rwhp easily on pump gas as a daily for customers, and we have pushed close to 600rwhp on pump gas with just a headgasket.

If you did this on a civic, it would be equivalent to a build b series motor!

The stock K motor is hard to make work with a thicker headgasket, but also cause the F motor comes stock with forged pistons and rods it in my opinion has more potential for both FI and NA setups

To be frank i dont know if this kit would be a hit. What your saying is your banking on the fact that it doesnt require any internal work to be hitting 500 horsepower. If someone is crazy enough to chop up the front end and do this irreversible swap and a custom turbo setup, they would probably already be inclined to redo the internals. Besides, theres plenty of B series guys pushing 400+ horsepower with just a thicker head gasket or doubled up OEM head gaskets. And ive seen much higher horsepower k and B series than F series.
