Default Oem front Lip AP2

Hello, i'm new on this board and i'm from switzerland

I want the oem front lip for my S AP2, and the factory says:
" if you don't buy the lip with the wing, you're going to have probleme at high speed over 150 km/h"

Has anyone heard that before?

A lot of people on this forum have only the front lip

Sorry for my english

I do not think so, lot of members here have the front lip without the wing and did not have any problem.

I think they want to sell you the whole pack.

BTW how much cost the lip there, here in Spain costs

Capitolism at its best! If the customer doesn't buy it on his own, dazzle him with babble about his impending doom. All for the sake of making that extra buck.

overlooser,

I wouldn't believe your dealership/factory comment. I purchased and installed my AP2 front lip myself and have not had any problems at high speeds. I was recently at an open track day and reached speeds in excess of 115 mph (i.e. 185 km/h) with no stability problems. My car is completely stock other than the spoiler. I seriously doubt that the OEM rear spoiler/wing provides any significant downforce at speeed; I think it's purely for aesthetic purposes.

Regards,
Christopher

WOW what dealerships would say, UNbelievable.
If that was the case, they would sell them both as a package just incase the driver does want to travel in those speeds.
DONT ever listen to dealers.
Come here first there are plenty of Good people willing to help out a fellow s2k brother.

I can't believe the dealship would lie???

I still get a when I think back to 2002 and I purchased my first S2K. I was told by the dealer how lucky I was to get the last model year of the S2K. Since they were going to be discontinued at the end of 2002, it was sure to become a collector's item. I was told the exact same line when I purchased my 2004.

It's a shame to say...but the Honda dealership would be the last place I would seek information.

BTW...I have the OEM wing spoiler on my car and it doesn't help performance (down force, etc...) in any way. Actually, if anything, it may even increase drag...
