(edit note: at 7:00pm, J On Demand's negative comment towards my company was removed by an Admin. It should be noted, that although I do have the authority to remove the comment, I did not. I purposely left it up and replied publicly to it. If any admin has the ability to post it back on here, I thought it was worthwhile for everyone to see since I dont like hiding facts)

Anyway, here is word for word what they said (cut and pasted from an email notification): " Last time I spoke to ASM Japan, they confirmed that bulletproof is not an authorized distributor. "

_____________

Hello J on Demand. It should be mentioned that it is generally agreed upon by the public that it is not good business practice to disparage other companies that you work with or that you may think are your competitors.

I have plenty I can say about your company, but I keep it to myself. Instead I focus on running my business and on serving my customers, rather than on slandering others.

Please take caution before you slander and libel my company. Not only does it make you look unprofessional, but it is illegal. I still have documentation saved of your company's post on evolutionm.net spreading bogus information about my company supposedly getting used for $500k by SARD Japan (correction $150k). I thought you were beyond these tactics by now...

As for ASM, the only authorized official distributor in North America is Autobacs. Bulletproof respects that, although we happen to have a very good relationship with ASM Japan as well and we were the first authorized source to bring in ASM to North America years back.

I'm not trying to take sides or anything, and I really dont want to get in the middle of this "drama", but if someone says that Bulletproof is not an authorized reseller of ASM, and you (Bulletproof) admits that only Autobacs is an authorized reseller, then I dont see how that is slander, or even an attack. It seems like a comment referencing the truth.

Also, I did see one of the recent Modified magazine issues that stated that Bulletproof is the EXCLUSIVE ASM distributor. So is that a misprint?

Again, not trying to get in the middle of things, but I dont see why businesses (who are suppossed to be taking care of customers) should resort to this behavior.

Teknolust72,

Interesting choice of a first post on s2ki...I see that you just joined to post this. You must be very passionate about this subject...quite an interesting first subject to post on with such background, I must say...

Aside from that glaring issue, let me just say that there is a certain level of expected ethics with online sponsors and companies promoting on message boards. Directly calling out a competitor and saying something negative towards them is looked down upon. In the case of J on Demand, there is a past history and documented proof of slander and libel against Bulletproof, so if I read into their actions a bit more than others would have, it is because I know well their past history of defamation in an attempt to gain a competitive advantage rather than them just focusing on improving their own business. Still to this day, I ask them to operate with more ethics and I strive to cooperate with their company (and all others in this industry) so that we can work peacefully in the same industry. However, past and current actions on their behalf suggest otherwise and I will not sit back and watch them defame my company in any form or even mention my business directly in a negative way (none the less in our own thread).

Out of respect for Autobacs, Bulletproof's current official stance is that only Autobacs USA is exclusive for ASM. We must be respectful of that relationship. With that being said, Bulletproof was the sole distributor for ASM prior to Autobacs and we continue to have a very strong relationship with ASM Japan. We can certainly still supply ASM parts directly from ASM Japan as can be seen by the parts we have in stock and continue to get (we are still officially allowed to buy ASM direct for overseas sales outside of North America/Autobacs USA territory). However out of respect for Autobacs USA, I will not step out of line and step on their toes, officially they are exclusive for ASM in North America.

The reason why I am so passionate about this is because I work closely with ASM and Kanayama.

Also, I don't appreciate your tone...
