I'd be willing to bet too that you could find some generic fender flares for some other car roughly the same size and have them work just as well for a lot less money than the arros flares. I do love how the arrows car looks especially after they molded the flares.
I let you know how they look when I throw my Arrows flares on.
LOL, but you will be waiting a little bit, because I just got them about 4 days before I left for Deployment (back to the Gulf...) and we're not expected to be back until March.
I have a set of Gram Lights that are 17x9.5 +38 all around. I test fit them before I left and they will tuck a little when I get the flares on with camber readjusted back to normal, after lowering. So you will have to run with a pretty aggressive offset to run flush with these flares.
Arrows makes two different widths for their flares. I went with the lesser width version, but you could go to some rediculous offsets using the wider flares and some camber! LOL, if that is where you want to go with this.
I agree, you could run generic fender flares, but it would take a lot more work to pull it off cleanly.. Do you plan on molding them? I am planning on running them "raw" with the rivets showing and all.
I would run the flares with the rivets exposed. Potentially in a contrasting color like the red Z in the photo above. Fender mirrors are on my list as well.
I've researched wheels and I can get these in the right size and offset:
They are a pretty penny at $3500. Not to mention the US distributor I talked to was very clear that they should only be run on race cars... That's a lot for a wheel I "shouldn't" run on the street.
With enough searching I can find Desmond Regamasters in the right size too. Not sure how those would look but I do like them.
I think the main issue is going to be finding a front end that flows with the flares and is retro enough for lack of a better term. I don't think I am baller enough to pull off a pop-up head light conversion. Maybe the J's would work.
Also, I like Blitz Type 01s for what you're going for. When I had my set, people constantly commented on how old school they looked.
For the spoiler, I would either go with an ASM duckbill or an Air Walker Japan, then put it with an OEM hardtop. Or go for the Bulletproof hardtop, that has the same kind of look.
Oh, and of course a set of the old school Honda emblems.
