Default Propane?

While browsing H-T, I stumbled upon this thread. This is the first time I have heard of propane in an automotive application.

Could an S2k be converted to propane? It sounds like there could be quite a lot of power gains.

propane injection is a good idea on FI it expands at -60ish and is pretty high octane. It is a nice way to increase boost without detonation

Propane is great for boost. No near the effiency of gasoline but has a much higher detonation resisitance. In any practical NA application you would make MUCH less power on propane.

VW as well as Ford have been selling propane cars straight from the factory in South America for over 15 years. I also noticed all the taxis in Tokyo ran on propane when I was there last month (long tank in the trunk behind the seat).
